Hope in a Phoenix

Alone in the dark

That's who she is

Behind the black veil

Behind a thick wall

Fragile as can be

Only a book as her cover

Who is she?

Also alone

but strong as a knight

With a sword in his hands

And darkness with in him

He was on the other side of the wall

Just behind the girls side

Who is he?

A flashing golden star

A lightning strike on the moon

The wall broke

The girl and the boy fell on each other

The girl lying on the boys head.

She said sorry with red streaks

On each side of her cheeks.

The boy said nothing but

his heart said something.

But before she can say another word

The star with wings and feathers

Flew above

The rare phoenix.

It flew above and over the moon

Oh

The girl and boy

Looked at each other

While their cheeks

Have red streaks

The girl with the book

The boy with the sword

She fell down

He help her get up

The girl said thank you

They shook hands and sigh

They talked about themselves

About how lonely the felt

How people never know how

to understand

their feelings

to accept

who they are

as who they are

They both smiled.

The knight and bookworm stood by each other.

They are no princess and prince

But they are intertwined for each other...
